Kids Gear for Baseball

Welcome to Kids Gear for Baseball.

Kids Gear for Baseball is a grassroots effort to help ensure that less fortunate children in Greater Boston and surrounding communities have the equipment they need to enjoy the great game of baseball!

Kids Gear for Baseball was founded in 2002 by the Ritchie family of Lynnfield, MA and has been managed by two Southborough, MA families, the Ritchies and McCarthys, since 2011.     Dawson Ritchie and Devin McCarthy, high school students at Saint John's in Shrewsbury, volunteer their time collecting gently used baseball and softball equipment during an annual collection weekend at Fenway Park and throughout the year by individuals/leagues interested in donating quality gear. The donated equipment is then cleaned, sorted, inventoried and distributed to youth organizations in need.

Donations made to: Boys & Girls Clubs of MA; Mission Hill Little League; Revitalizing Baseball Inner-City League (RBI); Roslindale; KIPP MA, Lynn;  Nativity School of Worcester & Jamaica Plain, Dominican Republic; Nigeria - Baseball Tomorrow Academy, and more
